We have a single syntropic row below a NSF contour, which was originally planted out with “weedy” plants as well as banana, mulberry and cassava cuttings, some eucalyptus and some pigeon pea. We have recently filled the contour by pumping water into it and the trees and the grass below the contour have responded well – the water seeps through the ground and down hill. Today we planted about 15 trees – mostly seedlings that mick propagated – macadamia, lychee, elederflower, guava and some pomegranates from Naomi and an olive I bought. So hopefully they’ll do well. We should get rain soon!
