I usually allow my pineapple tops to root first by placing them in water, however after following advice from our recent group gathering, today I’ve planted them direct into the garden. I prepared the top by pulling off some leaves at the base of the plant. I then planted them in reasonably shady areas close to my sprinklers in the food forest. They like shade, humidity and moisture, so this should suit them.
