I’m the admin for a small buying group with honest to goodness. We can buy product cheaper than in the shops, but we pay freight on top. If anyone wants to know more about it I can send you an invite and you can have a look and see whether you want to get anything or not. Basically it works out at around $1/kg freight. Once the order closes you will be sent an invoice to pay me and then I pay H2g. I’m doing an order in the next week or so and can explain more in an email how it works. I’m pretty new to it myself so still working it out.

      Thanks Lucy,
I’m interested so please email me the info, but probably best I wait till next order to give me time to go through it and plan, as we don’t need much right now. And then I won’t be holding you up.
Lissa mentioned ordering through them previously, and it’s great if we can combine deliveries and maybe buy some items in smaller quantities more often than everyone ordering in bulk separately. Serge does with grain and other organic foods and I am glad when someone takes the initiative. Thank you.

Sorry Lani, I didn’t realise you had commented. I’ll send you an email in the next little while.

I’ll probably be doing another honest to goodness order in next few weeks, so if you’d like to be involved, send me a message with your email address and I’ll send a link. If I’ve already sent a link, you can accept that one and you will get notification when I open the new order. Thanks.

Hi Lucy, I am interested in ordering just a few things the next time you do an order. Can you please send me the link.
      Thanks,
      Lissa

Lissa I will send you an invite. I’m not sure when the next order will be but I’ve had a bit of interest so might do one soon. I forgot a couple of things in m last order so maybe be before Christmas isn’t a bad idea. And then we might not have to do another for a while.

      Hi Lucy,

I meant to post this a long time ago, but forgot to follow up on it.
There is a bulk dry goods seller at the Yandina markets, The Seedy Sister (seeds, cereals and pseudo-cereals, legumes, dried fruit etc). I go down to the markets as a day out and to stock up, just a few times a year. They do deliver to Gympie, I think it’s on Wednesday’s and it has to be over a specific amount, I think about $50 or so. I haven’t been down this year so far, so hopefully they are still doing this. They have a website that you can order on as well. I don’t use the home delivery option because it is a day out for me, and I like to visit the nearby Blue House community garden and Permaculture group, usually to check over their plants and bring home some goodies
As an aside, I used to attend the Saturday talks at the Blue House, always informative, but they stopped with Covid. Speaking with some of the group members, they would like to start the Saturday workshops up again, but not happening so far.
      Cheers, Pete

I’ve seen them there but don’t get to the markets very often.

        Hello Kim
Yes I am still admin for an honest to goodness group. We order roughly every month to 6 weeks and we also buy from Sovereign Foods. Sovereign foods specialise in products form Australian regenerative and mostly organic farmers only. If you want to be involved, please send me your email and I’ll send an invite to h2g and will put you on my email list for SF. We’ve just done an h2g order so it’ll be a while before we do another. My email is [email protected]

I might be doing a new one soon! We now also do an order with Sovereign Foods – they sell goods from Australian regenerative (mostly organic) farmers. Have I invited you to the H2G group yet? I can add you to the Sovereign Food group too. It’s not as easy to use but I like to support them more so than honest to goodness. H2G have a lot more product though! I have you email I think so can do that.

Oh dear! I’m having trouble with my technology! I’ll organise a new invite for the honest to goodness tomorrow.
