      Hello Lucy

Good to see you in person at the Garden Tour on Saturday.

I really enjoyed the Saturday garden tours and generally getting to see everyone again. Hands up to have more of those.

It was good – a mix of garden tour and talking and getting to know people. It does depend on what the majority wants, but getting out to different places is good to not only learn but share knowledge. There’s always something to learn and do differently.

Goat Care, Pasture Management, DIY’er Wanted

We’re giving ourselves a year or so to find the ‘ideal’ person or happy couple to provide care of our goats/managing pastures for 4 days/week (7-4pm), while also completing the inside of a Tiny House Structure (roof and 2 walls) 4.8 x 6m to live in. Materials will be supplied and a long term residency is possible.

You must be financially and emotionally stable, have great DIY or building skills and experience or an interest in cell grazing/caring for two goats. Pasture management involves regular whipper snippering paths as well as collecting browse for two mangers at the goat house. Goat care requires cleaning out waste weekly to add to compost piles, replenishing water, clearing away uneaten stems to be chipped.

We’re located half way between Eumundi and Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, Qld, on a well-established Permaculture property created by a retired PC teacher with international experience. We don’t believe our space is appropriate for children (too small) and we don’t allow cats or the use of chemicals. Our property is unfenced, and we allow our ducks out onto our dam regularly, so an older/well-behaved dog is welcome.

We can offer a spacious, sunny ATCO Hut as temporary accommodation with access to an outdoor, shared (private) shower and a flush toilet in the garden. You will have use of a caravan-kitchen with some fridge/freezer space, a gas burner, use of our washing machine and NBN wifi. We’re happy to share one or two meals a day with you, as you prefer, on the days you’re working.

      This is a money-less exchange.

So friends, if you know or meet any likely lads/lasses who are looking for land access, please refer them to us, Blessings, Dave
