What to do with turmeric!?!?
I’ve dried a heap – 600g of powdered turmeric.
Fermented about a kilo – store in the fridge.
Made a ginger and turmeric paste (to keep in the freezer)
And a second batch of Jamu – 4 litres this time.
Obviously I’m not very good at uploading photos. However if anyone is interested in learning more about the different ways I’ve preserved my turmeric, please just ask!
Fermented turmeric
Process turmeric, add 3%salt and a tablespoon of whey and leave on bench for 5 days. Store in the fridge and will last for 12 months +
